On the guarded beaches on Texel are only leased dogs allowed during the period March 1 till September 1. More information on: the Dogmap of Texel- Outside these abovementioned time periods are dogs (both free-running and leashed) allowed on the beaches of Texel.

Horses on beach
Paardrijden of rijden met aangespannen paarden mag in de winterperiode, van 1 oktober tot 1 mei, op het hele Texelse strand.
In de zomerperiode, van 1 mei tot 1 oktober, is het alleen toegestaan op speciaal daarvoor aangewezen strandgedeelten ("recreatief strand" en "sportief strand"), van zonsopgang tot 10.00 uur en van 19.00 uur tot zonsondergang.
