Paradise Way - Nature

The Paradise Way is one of the charming spots in the Dennenbos. Those who walk or cycle here immediately understand why this place was named ‘Paradise Way’.
What makes the Paradise Way so special?
- A Name with a Story: The Paradise Way owes its name to a Texel tenant farmer who once cultivated an open area in the forest as a field. For him, this sheltered place felt like a true paradise. When the sun shines through the trees and the grass glistens in the light, it’s easy to see why.
- An Open Space Full of Life: What was once a field is now an idyllic open space in the middle of the forest. The shelter of the trees creates a pleasant microclimate where plants and animals thrive — and where visitors can take a moment to relax.
A Paradise for Nature Lovers: In the early morning you can hear woodpeckers and sometimes even spot deer among the trees. Each season has its own charm: fresh green hues in spring, fragrant pines in summer, warm colours in autumn and serene silence in winter.
