Arrival of Saint Nicholas Texel 2026

On Saturday 14 November 2026, Sinterklaas arrives in the harbour of Oudeschild on Texel. After his welcome in the harbour, he and his Pieten parade through Den Burg in the afternoon. Watching is free and it is a lovely moment for families on the island.

What can you expect at the arrival on Texel?

• 12.30, arrival in Oudeschild: Sinterklaas's boat moors at the quay near the harbour office and At Sea. The Pietenband welcomes the Sint and his Pieten with music.
• 14.00, parade in Den Burg: the procession passes through streets such as Keesomlaan, Parkstraat, Weverstraat, Stenenplaats, Gasthuisstraat, Burgerhoutstraat, Waalderstraat and Binnenburg to the Groeneplaats.
• Around 14.45, Glazen Paleis: Sinterklaas and his Pieten head to the Glazen Paleis, where the Pietenband plays once more. Children stand at the front, parents a little further back in the park.
• Drawings: Sinterklaas asks the children of Texel to make him a homemade drawing.
