In December, atmospheric Christmas and winter markets are held in several villages on Texel.

Christmas market at the Maartenhuis in De Koog

At the Maartenhuis on the Ruijslaan near De Koog you will find homemade treats, a living nativity scene and atmospheric choral music.

Christmas market in Oosterend

The annual Christmas Market in Oosterend is a true tradition, with small stalls in the narrow streets around the Maartenskerk and music in the church.

• When: Saturday 19 December 2026, from 16.00 to 20.00.
• Accessible: from 15.00 to 16.00 the market is open especially for visitors with disabilities.
• Where: the historic village centre around the Maartenskerk.

Winter market in Den Burg

Just before New Year, a cosy winter market is held in the centre of Den Burg, with stalls, treats, fire baskets and music.

• When: the date of the next edition is not yet known.
• Where: Groeneplaats in Den Burg.

Winter fair in De Cocksdorp

In the festively decorated Evenementenhal of holiday park De Krim you will find an indoor winter market with treats, wintry drinks and products from Texel businesses, plus entertainment for children.

• When: traditionally around 27 and 28 December, from 10.00 to 18.00.
